- Much, much better weather than the last time I ran this marathon
- Marathon still called “Jersey Shore Marathon”, MTV’s Jersey Shore five years away from forcing this race to change its name

- My motivational techniques a bit over the top if recipient hasn’t seen Rocky IV
- Already ran NJ
