Highlights:

• Randomly came across a Knoxville Ice Bears game down the block from my hotel
• Solid real life Simpsons references
• Pilgrimage to Athens for some R.E.M. sites

Low-lights:

• Manage to lose my drivers license in the middle of the Georgia Tech campus during my post-work run, had to retrace my route turning a 7 miler into something close to a 12 miler
• Most of Great Smoky Mountains National Park inaccessible due to a brush fire
• 80 degrees and humid on race day, totally blew up in the final four miles
