Route 66 Marathon

Highlights:

• Successfully ran three marathons in five weeks without falling apart
• Took the Center of the Universe detour, now technically an ultra-marathoner
• Got in an adequate amount of kicks on Route 66

Low-lights:

• Tulsa Golden Driller, pretty large, not necessarily “Titanic“
• Not really sure what to make of all these banjos
• Running three marathons in five weeks tiring, not ideal in terms of performance

New York City Marathon (2019)

• Scored a spot on Team TCS including pre-race accommodations, various marathon village perks and a private finish line brunch at Tavern on the Green.
• Pre-race Broadway show and Central Park date night
• Perfect fall weather, extreme course familiarity and solid training resulting in a New York City Marathon PR

Low-lights:

• Team TCS treatment may have ruined any future New York City Marathon experiences

Harrisburg Haunted Half Marathon

Low-lights:

• Legs a bit tired from Columbia Gorge Marathon the previous weekend
• Thought I could compete for a win and then some guy ran a 1:16

Columbia Gorge Marathon

Highlights:

• Scenic Columbia River Gorge and the (alleged) most beautiful marathon course in the country
• Oregon: Virtually unlimited methods of post-race rehydrating and also, several locations from the Goonies
• Road trip: Portland to Burbank.  Two days, three national parks and countless amazing views

Low-lights:

• Pacific Northwest rainy, never did see Mount Hood
• Forgot to buy legal weed
• Not all of us survived the trek across the Oregon Trail

• To Bill and Marge for once again watching our children
• To John and Peg for once again watching our dog
• To work for scheduling a last minute meeting in LA and providing the opportunity for an OR / CA road trip

T-Bone 5K
